ADDITIONAL CAMPING INFORMATION FOR LAKE SOMERVILLE

I'm using this post to add information about our Camping Weekend at Lake Somerville, Birch Creek Unit. Be sure to use the link on the right menu bar to access all the posts with information about the Camping Weekend.

New Update 2.28.13  9:50 pm -

  • PLEASE BRING 2 BANDANAS per child. We are teaching the Cubs and siblings how to make a sling.
  • PLEASE BRING WATER BOTTLES for the hiking trip. Last time all the boys were trying to drink from my water bottle. It didn't last very long. ;-)

MORE INFORMATION 2.28.13!!
  •  HAVE YOUR CUB SCOUT AND SIBLINGS BRING A BIKE, HELMET, AND PADS! Joe is organizing a "mountain biking" event for the boys. Need help carrying your bike to the camping event? Call, email, or text Robert Bragg - 832.534.0625 or robertmbragg@yahoo.com. No bike? Bring a scooter? No scooter? Then we can run with the bikes. ;-)
  • HAVE YOUR CUB AND SIBLINGS  BRING HIS FISHING GEAR. Joe is organizing a "fishing" event for the kids.
  • HAVE YOUR CUB BRING HIS CLASS A's for the flag ceremony. Cub Scouts that wear their Class A's during the flag ceremony will have an opportunity for Color Guard. After the ceremony, they can hang it up in the car and wear their cub scout tshirt.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
QUESTION: ARE YOU NOT GOING BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE A TENT, OR OTHER CAMPING EQUIPMENT? Then call, text, or email Robert Bragg at 832.534.0625 or robertmbragg@yahoo.com and lets talk about it. We can probably help you and your Cub make it by sharing what we have! This is going to be a great outing for the kids, so please make it if you can!
